In 1989, I.M.P. Aerospace entered into a subcontractual agreement
with Lockheed Aeronautical Systems Company (LASC) to complete the manufacture
of the Canadian Forces CP-140A (P-3) Arcturus aircraft, which were the last
three P-3's produced by LASC at their Palmdale, California facility. Under
the terms of the agreement, I.M.P. was responsible for completing the total
interior (with the exception of the flight station) of three CP140A aircraft.
I.M.P.'s efforts were focused on modification of a green air frame, with the work consisting primarily
of the manufacture, assembly, and installation of structures, flooring, racks
and consoles, wire harnesses, ECS ducting, lavatory, galley and closets, as well
as interior trim and insulation.
I.M.P. also installed the avionics and emergency equipment, painted the
aircraft and provided support for flight test. The Arcturus program was
completed in April 1993.
