 | Bernie O’Rourke joined I.M.P. Group International Inc. in May 1986, and currently serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel. In this role, he oversees delivery of legal services, in conjunction with a team of four lawyers, to all divisions and subsidiaries of IMP, operating in Canada as well as internationally. Bernie is also responsible for Corporate Human Resources, providing strategic direction and leadership on Company Human Resources policies, procedures and programs. In addition to his role as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Bernie serves as Corporate Secretary. In this role, he oversees the administrative functions of I.M.P. He is a member of the Company’s Executive and Management Committees and acts as Chairman of the Risk Management Committee. Bernie earned his BBA from St. Francis Xavier University in 1974, and his LL.B. from Dalhousie University in 1979. Prior to joining I.M.P., he held positions as senior legal counsel in major Canadian resource corporations. Bernie is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society, Canadian Bar Association, Canadian Corporate Counsel Association, Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Canada and the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers. Bernie also serves as a member of the Board for the Waterfront Development Corporation. |
