 | Bernie O’Rourke joined I.M.P. Group International Inc. in May 1986, and currently serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel. In this role, he oversees delivery of all legal services to I.M.P., its divisions and subsidiaries operating in Canada, as well as internationally. He provides leadership to a team of four lawyers. Bernie is also responsible for Human Resources, Corporate Risk Management and Corporate Governance. In addition to his role as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Bernie serves as Corporate Secretary. In this role, he oversees the administrative functions of I.M.P. He is a member of the Company’s Executive and Management Committees and acts as Chairman of the Risk Management Committee. Bernie earned his BBA from St. Francis Xavier University in 1974, and his LL.B. from Dalhousie University in 1979. Prior to joining I.M.P., he held positions as senior legal counsel in major Canadian resource corporations. Bernie is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society, Canadian Bar Association, Canadian Corporate Counsel Association, and Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Canada. |
