The first of 4 Royal Norwegian Air Force P-3 aircraft is set to arrive at IMP Aerospace’s aircraft maintenance facilities located at the International Airport in Halifax on Monday February 20th. The arrival of the Norwegian aircraft signals the commencement of a multi million dollar contract which will require IMP Aerospace to carry out depot level maintenance on Norwegian P-3C “Orion” aircraft.
The work will be conducted over the next year and a half and will be similar to the work IMP currently performs on Canada’s fleet of CP-140 Maritime Patrol Aircraft.
“This award clearly demonstrates that IMP is recognized by the international P-3 operator community as an expert in the field of aircraft maintenance,” said David Gossen, the Executive Vice President and COO of the company’s Aerospace Division. “We are very pleased to offer our support to the Royal Norwegian Air Force – the knowledge and expertise we have developed over many years will be apparent in the service we will provide”.
