Aerostructures Division

With more than four decades of experience in the aerospace industry, the IMP Aerospace Division is recognized as a lean manufacturer and integrator of structural assemblies and components to many of the worlds leading aircraft companies such as Boeing, Bell Helicopter, Cessna, EADS Sogerma, Bombardier and Lockheed.

In addition to the extensive manufacturing capabilities, the IMP Aerostructures Division offers a remanufacturing and repair/overhaul service on P-3 Flight Controls and airframe components for Lockheed Martin, the Canadian Department of National Defense, and the U.S. Navy. The remanufactured process encompasses replacing and refurbishing assemblies to “Like New” condition at a fraction of the cost of new components.

In support of its manufacturing activities, the division has tool design and fabrication capabilities and utilizes CATIA V5 and Mastercam modeling and CNC programming software. Planning and control of production is assured with a fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning system.
As a result of its Continuous Improvement initiatives, the IMP Aerostructures Division has proven itself as a competitive and reliable supplier. The management processes embrace the Six Sigma approach towards quality and process improvement through strong employee involvement, thus, ensuring its status as a “Supplier of Choice” for aerospace/aircraft structural components.
