Since its formation in 1970, IMP Aerospace has earned a reputation as a leader in the field of In Service Support (ISS) for military and commercial aircraft. A complete range of services are available to meet the varied needs of both national and international customers. All maintenance and engineering work is carried out under formal airworthiness accreditations from Canada's Department of National Defence, Transport Canada (for civil aircraft), and international authorities as appropriate. In addition, IMP Aerospace is a Lockheed Martin authorized P-3 Service Center.

Aircraft Maintenance

IMP Aerospace is a TCCA Approved Maintenance Organization authorized and equipped to provide scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance, major repairs and overhaul to Lockheed L-188 Electra and Sikorsky S-61 aircraft.

The IMP Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) performs mechanical and electrical/avionics, aircraft maintenance and modifications including in-depth base maintenance (Depot level) and major inspections, on and off aircraft. Our AMO is also equipped, prepared, and approved to perform major repairs and modifications to sheet metal structures. Engineering and certification support is provided through IMP DAO 98-A-01. NDT support is provided through IMP AMO 7-94.

IMP Aerospace’s Design Approval Organization offers the resources and expertise to conduct engineering, airworthiness, and certification activities in a timely and cost effective manner.

Created in 1998, the Design Approval Organization provides the following services to operators, completion centres, maintenance, repair and overhaul providers:
