Electrical/Avionics Engineering

Cockpit

Aerospace Engineering maintains a particular strength in the area of aircraft electrical systems, to support Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul operations. The branch works with our Customers to evaluate the condition of electrical wiring and components throughout the life of the aircraft. When required, wire and component replacement programs are defined and implemented to ensure the ongoing safety and integrity of electrical and avionics systems.

Our Electrical and Avionics Engineers undertake all aspects of the electrical installation design for avionics upgrade and modernization programs, from system interconnection and wire harness design to Ground and Flight Acceptance Testing. Aircraft Theoretical Electrical Load Analyses and Wiring Information Management Systems are developed and maintained to reflect all changes in aircraft configuration.

Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility (EMI/EMC)

Aerospace Engineering has established a strong capability in field of Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility, to support both installation design and aircraft maintenance. Typical services in this area include:

  • EMC Control Plan Development and Implementation
  • Ground and Flight EMC Testing and Reporting
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Rectification
  • Fleet EMI/EMC Policy Development
