"I.M.P. Commercial Division Expands"

Stephen Rowe, Vice President - I.M.P. Group, announced today that I.M.P. has acquired the marine and industrial supply businesses owned by James P. Forgie of Moncton, New Brunswick.

The Forgie enterprises operate from four locations. The principal warehouse and store are in Moncton, with branches in Bas-Caraquet, New Brunswick, Ste-Therese de Gaspe, Quebec, and Barrington Passage, Nova Scotia. Mr. Forgie has retired after a lifetime of work in the industry. His companies operated under the trade names Forsea, Seaquip, Aqua Equipment and Cordfil. I.M.P. will continue business in the same locations and under those names.

Mr. Rowe said, "The four locations are a perfect fit with our present chain of 16 marine and industrial branches throughout Eastern Canada and New England. We look forward to working with our new colleagues, customers and suppliers."
