"IMP Awarded Large Aerospace Contract"

IMP Group Limited's Aerospace Division has been awarded a contract valued in excess of $ 30 million dollars by General Dynamics Canada Ltd. The contract involves the fabrication and installation of new Data Management System (DMS) avionics sensors on the Canadian Forces CP140 Aurora aircraft.

David Gossen, Executive Vice President, IMP Aerospace, stated "This contract will lead to the creation of approximately 150 high-tech jobs over the next 6 years at IMP Aerospace's Halifax Airport facilities and reconfirms IMP's reputation as a center of excellence for engineering support, and repair and overhaul of maritime aircraft."

The Data Management System (DMS) is an integral part of a multi-year plan to upgrade and modernize the Aurora aircraft and its systems and will give the Aurora intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data processing capabilities far greater than it now possesses.
