"I.M.P. AEROSPACE EXPANDS"

I.M.P. Aerospace, a division of I.M.P. Group Ltd., announces a 60,000 square foot, $4MM expansion to their operations at the Halifax International Airport (HIA).

The expansion encompasses re-locating their aircraft component repair and overhaul and manufacturing work into a new 60,000 square feet Component Manufacturing facility. The move will, in turn, free-up 30,000 square feet of aircraft and workshop hangar space to accommodate recent expansions in existing US Navy and Canadian Department of National Defense programs.

The new Component Manufacturing facility should be completed by early next year, and will employ approximately 100 persons. Thirty new jobs will be created and no government support is involved.

I.M.P.'s Aerospace Division has increased overall employment at HIA by 30% since this time last year, and now employs approximately 800 full time employees.

Max Phillips, Executive Vice President of the Aerospace Division, noted: "Our primary challenge is to seek qualified mechanics to meet the needs of our growing business." As recently as last year, I.M.P. Group has been awarded significant new contracts with the US Navy as well as with the DND.

Its major business areas consist of depot level maintenance and engineering support for the CP-140 long-range patrol aircraft and CH-124 Sea King helicopters, and in-service support to the new Canadian CH-149 Cormorant Search and Rescue helicopters.

I.M.P. Group International Inc. is a privately owned group of companies headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, employing over 3,500 people worldwide in its aerospace, aviation, industrial, and commercial core activities.
