IMP Group Acquires Blue Ocean Contact Centers
IMP Group Limited (IMP) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, has acquired Blue Ocean Contact Centers.
Blue Ocean employs more than 600 employees and is headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It provides customer service solutions in partnership with world-class companies who are leaders in technology, travel, retail, grocery, wellness, tourism and automotive industries.
Blue Ocean was previously a member of CCL Group, owned by Steve Parker. "Blue Ocean is a very successful international business which will continue to be owned and managed in Nova Scotia. What stands out is that IMP has a strong vision for the future of the business and offers continuation of leadership roles for Blue Ocean management in a larger business. This is a great fit," Parker says.
Stephen Plummer, IMP Group President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “The acquisition of Blue Ocean, whose business model and management philosophy are very much aligned with those of IMP, will be a great enhancement to the customer contact center segment of our Information Services Division.”
Darrell Taylor, IMP’s Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, said, “IMP has contact centers in Bathurst, New Brunswick and Windsor, Nova Scotia that provide exceptional customer service. The addition of Blue Ocean, a highly regarded locally owned company, means that there will now be increased technical and industry expertise provided in six languages to better serve our customers here in Canada and internationally.”
IMP Group is focused on global sustainable growth, with over 4,600 experienced people delivering service, quality and value to customers across diverse sectors, such as aerospace, aviation, airline, healthcare, information services, hospitality, and property development.
