Kenneth C. Rowe

Chairman

Kenneth C. Rowe founded IMP in 1967, and as Executive Chairman, he remains active in guiding and setting policy/vision for the Group.

In 1956, Mr. Rowe joined The Great Grimsby Coal Salt & Tanning Co. Ltd. which at that time was Europe’s largest manufacturer of commercial fishing equipment. In 1964, Mr. Rowe was sent to Halifax as the managing director of their North American interests, which he left in 1967 to start IMP.

By profession he is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and the Institute of Corporate Directors.  Mr. Rowe was appointed an Honorary Colonel by the Canadian Defence Department and, in 2002, was bestowed by Dalhousie University with an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree.

Mr. Rowe is past director of a number of public companies, which includes the Royal Bank of Canada, and the recipient of numerous awards including the prestigious Order of Canada.  He has been recognized as one of the top 50 CEO’s in Atlantic Canada and as one of Canada’s Outstanding Aerospace Visionaries.  He has also been inducted into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame.

In 2004, he was named the Atlantic Region’s Outstanding Individual Philanthropist by the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is well known for supporting organizations in the community such as Dalhousie University, the Red Cross, the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia as well as local hospitals.  At Pier 21, you can attend events in the Kenneth C. Rowe Heritage Hall and Dalhousie’s Rowe School of Business’s MBA Program is ranked 8th in Canada.





Kirk A. Rowe

Director

Kirk Rowe was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of IMP Group International Inc. in 2019, after serving as President and Chief Operating Officer in 2018.

Kirk served as President, Innotech-Execaire Aviation Group since 2010, after serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since 2000. Previously, Kirk held senior positions at several divisions of IMP Group, including Vice President and General Manager of IMP’s regional airline.

IMP Group International Inc. is focused on global, sustainable growth with over 3,500 experienced people delivering service, quality and value to customers across diverse sectors, such as aerospace & defence, aviation, healthcare, information services, hospitality and property development.

Kirk holds a BComm from Saint Mary’s University (1990) along with a CPA, Certified General Accountant (CGA) (1999) designation and is an AMP Alumni (2017) from Harvard University.





Stephen K. Rowe

Director

Stephen Rowe joined IMP Group International Inc. in 1986 and currently serves as Executive Vice President, Corporate.

Stephen is the corporate officer responsible for CAN-med Healthcare (including Harding Medical), Corporate Procurement, Corporate Real Estate and Property Management, Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre, Foundry, and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to 2016, Stephen held the position of President, CanJet Airlines and had responsibilities for the Commercial Core Group, which included marine, hotels, and mergers and acquisitions.

Stephen graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University in 1986. He was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators in 1994 and earned his CMA designation in 1995.

As a member of the Board of Directors of IMP Group International Inc., Stephen serves on the Executive and Risk Management Committees.





Daniel Sullivan

Director

Daniel Sullivan recently completed a four year appointment as Consul General for Canada in New York, following a distinguished career in the financial services sector. He is the former Deputy Chairman of Scotia Capital Inc., where he had a successful 38 year career. Mr. Sullivan served as Chair and Director of The Toronto Stock Exchange and Chair of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada.

Mr. Sullivan is a director of the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and Allied Properties REIT and is an advisor to Shiplake Management Company. He is a former director of Allstream Inc., Cadillac Fairview Corporation, Camco Inc., Monarch Development Corporation and Schneider Corporation. He was Chair of the Board and a Director of St. Michael’s Hospital and currently is on the Board of the Hospital’s Foundation. Mr. Sullivan was Chair of the Board of the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network, the provincial government health authority for Toronto. He has served on a number of federal and provincial government committees and advisory boards and has been a director of a number of arts, educational and community organizations. Mr. Sullivan is a recipient of the Service Medal (and is a Fellow) of the Foreign Policy Association of the United States, the Arbour Award from the University of Toronto and the Human Relations Award from the Canadian Centre for Diversity. He holds graduate degrees from Columbia University and the University of Toronto.





Julie N. Rehemtulla

Director

Julie Rehemtulla joined IMP in 1983, and worked in the Aviation Division of the Company in a number of capacities until 1992, when she was placed in charge of Corporate Administration – Head Office and Properties Division. In 1998, Julie returned to the Aviation Division as Vice President, Aviation Services. In 1999, she was appointed Executive Vice President & COO, Hotels & Properties – Corporate, with responsibility for all hotels under the I.M.P. umbrella. Julie was later appointed Executive Vice President & COO, Commercial Division, in 2001, and moved to CanJet Airlines in April, 2002. In 2007, Julie returned to the Corporate Office as Senior Vice President, Human Resources. In 2010 that role expanded to include, in addition to Human Resources, Strategic Procurement, Properties and Hotels as Senior Vice President, Corporate Services. From 2011 to 2013 Julie worked as President, CAN-med Healthcare, which in addition to CAN-med Healthcare also conducts business under Harding Medical Supplies, MEDIchair and Dental Source Canada providing medical/surgical supplies and equipment; mobility equipment and dental supplies.

Julie graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a BA in 1983, and an EMBA in 1997. She was a member of the Sobey School of Business Advisory Board of Saint Mary’s University and is a past Board of Director of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce.

Having spent 30 years as part of IMP Group, Julie now divides her time between residences in Toronto and Florida.





Bruce Guerriero

Director

Bruce Guerriero retired as a Senior Audit Partner of KPMG in September 2014 after a 38 year career at KPMG working in the firm’s Montreal office. During his years with the firm, he developed a strong expertise in audit and financial consultation with medium and large scale businesses at the local, national and international levels. He served as the lead audit engagement partner for a variety of clients in different business sectors including consumer markets, retail, industrial markets, transportation, aerospace and media & entertainment.

He served on KPMG Canada’s Partnership Board of Directors for 7 years, including as Chairman of the Partners’ Admission Subcommittee of the Board for 4 years. Since 2015, he has been a corporate director and business advisor and has served on the Board of DAVIDsTEA Inc. as Chair of the Audit Committee and is currently a director and the Chair of the Audit Committee of Reitmans (Canada) Limited.

Mr. Guerriero is a member of the Order of Chartered Professional Accountants of Quebec and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Honors with Distinction, degree from Concordia University, a Diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University and is certified by the Institute of Corporate Directors.

He was an active member of the Jewish General Hospital Foundation’s annual golf event fundraising committee for over 10 years and a past president of the Montreal West Curling Club. Currently he is an active member of the Summerlea Golf & Country Club.





J. Darrell Taylor

Director

Darrell Taylor started his career at IMP Group International Inc. in 1984 leading a team of software engineers automating the IMP Group of companies. Over the years his responsibilities increased, and he served as the Chief Information Officer responsible for the strategic and operational aspects of information technology for the entire IMP Group of companies. Darrell expanded his responsibilities by starting a Contact Centre business and an IT Company in 2000. The Contact Centre business initially serviced an internal IMP company but within a year was servicing non-IMP clients. This company grew organically until 2015 when it purchased Blue Ocean Contact Centers (rebranded to this company name). The IT company, IMP Solutions, grew organically until 2021 when it purchased Eclipse Technology Solutions. Blue Ocean Contact Centers and IMP Solutions form the Core Group of Information Services within IMP Group’s portfolio of companies.

Darrell retired from IMP Group International Inc. in 2024 while serving as President, Information Services and Chief Information Officer.

Darrell graduated from Acadia University with a BSc in Math and a Certificate of Applied Science. He received his Industrial Engineering degree from the Technical University of Nova Scotia. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia. Darrell’s volunteer activities have included: TUNS School of Computer Science Advisory Board, TUNS Industrial Engineering Advisory Council, Mount Saint Vincent University Board of Governors and Executive Committee, and the Acadia University Alumni Board.
